Building on the esteemed legacy of our dear friend Robert Sacy, our primary focus has been to continue our mission of providing underprivileged babies and children with top-quality medical care at a fraction of the cost typically incurred in private hospitals. We have made significant progress in aligning with his vision.

In line with our strategic objectives, we are now preparing to launch our new obstetric department. Dr. Antoine Abou Moussa, recently appointed as the Head of this department, is diligently overseeing the recruitment and training of the medical staff, which includes eight experienced midwives, seven obstetricians and surgeons, and four residents.

We are on track for the official launch of the obstetric department, scheduled for September 11, 2024.

Project Overview: Enhancing Healthcare for Vulnerable Newborns and Children

In partnership with La Chaîne de l’Espoir – CDE, ASSAMEH Birth and Beyond is proud to announce a transformative initiative aimed at improving healthcare access for vulnerable Lebanese and non-Lebanese newborns and children. This vital project addresses significant barriers to essential medical and surgical care through two key components.

Specialized Nurse Training: CDE will provide advanced training to nurses across Lebanon, equipping them with the skills necessary to manage critical medical cases effectively. Following this specialized training, ASSAMEH B&B will mentor these nurses, ensuring they gain the confidence and expertise required to deliver high-quality care.

Improved Access to Quality Care: The project will facilitate the transfer of 90 critical medical cases from hospitals throughout Lebanon to the Beirut Governmental Hospital – Quarantina. ASSAMEH B&B plays a crucial role in this phase, ensuring safe patient transport with ASSAMEH’s fully equipped ambulance service.

Project Benefits

  • Enhanced Healthcare Outcomes: By providing specialized training and mentorship, the project ensures that healthcare professionals are well-prepared to handle critical cases, leading to improved patient outcomes.
  • Financial Support: This initiative provides essential financial assistance to children in need of medical care, alleviating some of the burdens faced by vulnerable families.
  • Increased Access: The transfer of critical cases to a specialized facility in Beirut ensures that children receive the best possible care.

This collaborative effort marks a significant step towards a healthier future for all children in Lebanon, regardless of their background.
