From the moment I married my husband, his children were like mine. I raised them with all my heart. I am now a proud grandma. My grandchildren are my inspiration and fill me with joy every day since my husband passed away.

I used to work in a retail shop. Unfortunately the economic crisis forced us to close. I found myself without any purpose, doing nothing was not an option. I needed to take part in a meaningful project. My mother who volunteered throughout her whole life inspired my commitment.

When my children were young, Dr. Sacy was their pediatrician. Now he belongs to my closest friends since we have known each other for 40 years.

Volunteering for Assameh, the NGO he created was the answer to my prayers. Waking up every day to defend his cause is now my motivation. For me Assameh is the best project to take action for a better future and gives hope to newborns and their parents.
