At ASSAMEH Birth & Beyond, we believe that even in the most fragile moments, every child and woman deserve a chance at a healthy life. Since 2014, we’ve worked to turn public hospital wards into safe, nurturing spaces, where premature babies, critically ill children, and mothers in need of obstetric care receive not just medical attention, but a real shot at the future. Together, with compassion and medical expertise, we bring light to the earliest days of life.
In September 2023, the new Mother & Child Pole: Robert Sacy at Beirut Governmental University Hospital – Karantina was inaugurated. Since then, ASSAMEH B&B has remained dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted hospital operations with a strong emphasis on quality & capacity.
ASSAMEH B&B’s partnerships with the “Agence Française de Développement, “La Fondation Pierre Fabre “and other committed long-term contributors have been instrumental in securing funding for:
– The operation of the hospital’s pediatric, NICU, PICU & obstetrics
– Governance and maintenance of the services
– Patient care and support programs
– An ongoing structured, training curriculum for the hospital medical staff
Obstetric Department
Launched in September 2024, ASSAMEH Birth & Beyond played a key role in the recruitment and appointment of the obstetrics department. Through its strategic partnerships with the “Fondation Pierre Fabre” and “UNICEF””, ASSAMEH B&B provided the following:
– Funding the first two years salaries of midwives
– Securing furniture, consumables and medical supplies
– Installing an air circulation unit
– Capacity building and mentorship
Pediatric Department
In September 2023, Assameh B&B inaugurated the new pediatric and neonatal ward in the new building. The expanded department can now care for more babies while maintaining the same standard of excellence. In addition to providing high-quality care, we support the team through staff training and supply of essential consumables, ensuring that the department continues its mission with resilience, dedication, and hope.
